This website, www.labourresearch.yolasite.com, has been created with two main purposes which are: to disseminate and/or maintain all published research works and other professional work documents authored by Dr. Kalani Malema; and to provide as an opportunity for the website creator - Dr. Kalani Malema - to link with the World at large through online interactions while using it as platform towards searches for fellowships/scholarships, jobs etc. for further studies and professional work developments. With respect to this latter purpose, the website has, therefore, included some documentations on applications for admissions, and/or scholarships for further studies into some World reputable international Universities and Colleges.
Note, however, that the website is still under construction, as such its contents and pages will keep on changing and getting built to meet acceptable standards of any typical World Wide Website.
And meanwhile, there are only three web pages. These are home, contact and archive each with limited number of subpages and/or links to further sub-pages.

Kalani Malema's Profile
Dr. Kalani Mbeye Malema, is a trained industrial relations expert and practitioner. He is currently working for the Malawi Government - Ministry of Labour as Chief Labour Officer where he is designated as Regional Labour Officer. Dr. Malema has over 15 years work experience as a public labour officer responsible for settling labour/industrial disputes and conducting labour inspections in various workplace establishments in the country - Malawi.
Dr. Malema's areas of work and research interests include: industrial/labour relations (labour inspections, labour disputes management, etc), social protection, labour migration, labour productivity, public employment services and labour market economics.
His research career started following his post graduation with Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in 2013 from the University of Malawi - The Polytechnic (now the Malawi University of Business Studies and Applied Sciences).
Currently Dr. Malema's interests are in the management of workplace labour disputes and development of harmonious industrial relations under which he has, first, undertaken comprehensive research for his PhD qualification, particularly, on the nature and characteristics of workplace labour disputes and their impacts on workplace operations.
Second, regarding his interest in the development of harmonious industrial relations, Dr. Malema is working on a 600 page book manuscript that contains both theoretical and practical knowledge for the development and management of industrial relations in Malawi.

In respect of international interactions, Dr. Malema, first, attended an international training on research methods in labour studies in February, 2015 in India during when he made a country presentation that can be accessed here.
Labour Research
Labour research encompasses all studies that are conducted or that may be conducted on any employment/labour issue with an aim to finding everlasting solutions to numerous problems confronting the world of work. The research work could be within the activities of trade unions; of employers' organisations; of governments as well as of all those research activities by the World international bodies and institutions mandated to handle employment and labour matters.
In this website, labour research works, encompass all those research studies that have been undertaken, to date, by Dr. Kalani Mbeye Malema.
